The 2025 Men's President's Cup meeting between Shelbourne and Drogheda United will take place on Friday, 7 February at Tolka Park.
The now traditional curtain-raiser for the League of Ireland season pitches the reigning SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division champions against the Sports Direct FAI Cup holders.
It will be the first time that Shels and Drogheda will play in the fixture after both clubs won those respective major honours in the recently completed 2024 campaign.
Damien Duff's Shelbourne dramatically won the Premier Division on the final day, while Kevin Doherty's Drogs overcame Derry City in the FAI Cup decider at the Aviva Stadium.
The fixture list for next season's SSE Airtricity Men's and Women’s Premier Divisions as well as the Men’s First Division will be announced on 17 December.
