Peter O'Mahony could make his Munster return against the All Blacks XV this weekend, while a number of players are unavailable due to international commitments.
The 35-year-old back row suffered a hamstring injury on 5 October against Ospreys in the URC.
He was included in Andy Farrell’s Ireland squad, which is currently in Portugal preparing for the Autumn Nations Series, but is continuing his rehab with Munster.
The former captain "will increase his training load this week," the province, who parted ways with head coach Graham Rowntree yesterday, said ahead of Saturday's game at Thomond Park (5.30pm).
"His availability for this weekend’s clash against the All Blacks XV will be determined later in the week."
Tadhg Beirne, Craig Casey, Jack Crowley, Conor Murray, Calvin Nash and Alex Kendellen are away with the Ireland squad.
Meanwhile, Brian Gleeson (shoulder) and Diarmuid Kilgallen (leg) came through the weekend with no issues after returning to action with Garryowen in the AIL.
Shane Daly (leg), Jeremy Loughman (knee), Alex Nankivell (hip), Josh Wycherley (neck), Mark Donnelly (ankle), Dave Kilcoyne (ankle), Oli Jager (neck), Liam Coombes (leg), Thaakir Abrahams (thigh), Patrick Campbell (shoulder), Cian Hurley (knee), Edwin Edogbo (Achilles), Roman Salanoa (knee) are contunuing to rehab.
Elsewhere, the All Blacks XV have made a selection of changes to the squad for their tour.
Corey Kellow (Crusaders), Devan Flanders (Hurricanes), Caleb Delaney (Hurricanes) and Simon Parker (Chiefs) have been named in the All Blacks XV squad, replacing Peter Lakai (All Blacks), Josh Lord (All Blacks), Emoni Narawa (injured) and Hoskins Sotutu (injured).
Outside back Ruben Love will also join the squad, which All Blacks head coach Scott Robertson says is to give him the chance of more game time on Saturday.
